New Photos

James Bylett April 24th, 2008

New galleries are online, breaking from my normal preference towards wildlife and scenery photos with some photos I took at an Aikido course I was intending to train at last weekend but ended up not feeling well enough to train, so decided to make myself useful making a photographic record of the event instead. Primarily for the benefit of those who were at the course and what so see what they all looked like but also might be interesting to anybody else who wants to see what a class of my other past time looks like and what happens when I try my hand at sports photography. The page naming may be subject to change at some point to tidy up the links a bit but the content is there to stay ;-)

Minor Update

James Bylett April 22nd, 2008

Nothing all that important to report but the front page was looking a bit bland with only one post so thought I’d make an update. Couple of minor changes to the site layout to report based on feedback I’ve had and a couple of extra things I decided to add. The sample slideshow that was on the front page is now on the top level galleries page in a bid to make the front end a bit less crowded and keep the photo content all in the same place, there’s a couple of changes to the links section and there’s a new section in the sidebar to register as a subscriber to my site and log in, just in case you feel the need to for some odd reason ;-). I’ve also added links to advance through the split down pages to my Africa galleries to make navigating through them easier. There’s likely to be a bit more of an update later on once I finish processing some photos I took of an Aikido course over the weekend so watch this space

Holy Website Overhaul Batman!

James Bylett April 19th, 2008

Well, first post, and anybody who’s visited my website before will notice that the most notable thing to announce is that the site has undergone a fairly radical overhaul, changing drastically from the simple flash gallery it once was. This came about when I started playing with blogging software, just as an experiment, on my web space and soon discovered just how much could be done with a little patience, thanks also to Francis for his input which helped me in getting the design of the site to where it is now. So here it is, the new home for my photography.
There are one or two minor visual bugs when viewing the site in Internet Explorer 6 which I’m working on but nothing that affects the site’s functionality so I felt it was about time to go live. Please feel free to leave any feedback or comments you have
