Gear Reviews

As I am not a professional photographer, I have unforutnately not been privy to experience with all top of the range equipment, what I do have though is experience with a variety of equipment ranging from entry level to what is sometimes referred to as ‘prosumer’ or enthusiast level, and my reviews here are simply my own opinions of products based on that experience. I do not necessarily have all the most up to date versions of my camera/lens models, so my reviews will be based on what I own or have used and noted accordingly. My hope is that the general gist of my reviews will still apply to the newer counterparts of items where that is the case and/or be of use for anyone exploring the second hand market

You will notice that I favour Nikon DSLRs and lenses, there is no underlying reason for this other than the simple fact that my first DSLR was a Nikon because I tried both it and the nearest Canon equivalent in a shop and preferred the feel of the Nikon, and of course once investing a certain amount of money in one camera system, you then end up kind of stuck on the same path short of a sizable chunk of disposable income to switch should the desire to do so arise! I have through experience though become a huge fan of Nikon kit, regardless of the financially enforced decision to stick with it, and have never once regretted my choice, although I still have every respect for Canon and other leading brands, each to their own as they say
